Maanantai

Tänään on tullut kaavittua hyvällä menestyksellä musiikin maailmaa taskuihin.

Kolmantena, vähemmän konkreettisena, iloasiana oli The Black Keysin tuoreen Brothers -abumin saapuminen NPR:n ennakkokuuntelupisteeseen.

Slash. Slash? Slash. Sinne niitä rahoja sitten menee. OK. No, tulihan Midlake. No joo, myönnetään, että "ihan kiva" -osaston kiinnitys.

  1. There are days that I wish I could speak Finnish (I guess??) or at least understand it.
Today is such a day. (:

    Great music up here!

And funny to see that you know 3voor12 as well :)

  2. You know, when I first started writing this blog I hesitated whether or not to write in English but ended up usinh my native tongue instead. Unfortunately for international readers :) Did you get anything out of it, for example with Google Translator? The translation is poor at best but nevertheless it might give you a sense of what I'm writing about.

In this particular post I was commenting on my day, hence the title "maanantai" (Monday). I bought the new National album, and got tickets for L. Cohens gig, said that I really liked the new Black Keys album and complained about the local festival's line up, yet again :) Nice to have you as a reader, hopefully you get something out of this blog, even though it's in Finnish.

  3. Google Translator! What a good idea, didn't think about something like that at all. Initially I became follower for the MUSIKKI, it looks like your taste is very equal to mine.

Hmmm, I just tried it out and some of the translations are very funny. It even translated some of the band names too (Local Natives stands in Dutch for example :D) But it's a good solution, at least I have now an idea of what you wrote! Cool. :)

To write in your native tongue is a good choice,
I really like the sound and 'the sight' (it looks so nice) of Scandinavian languages.

Maanantai, tistai, keskiviikko, torstai..; just wonderful! (In my language = maandag, dinsdag, woensdag, donderdag...; looks so boring.)

For my blog (that isn't a real blog, just something with lyrics and other textes I like, own written textes and own taken photos. If you know a word for this thing, let me know :D), I just didn't choose. I switch between Dutch, French and English all the time. :)

(I trust the translator that this makes sence :p) Tervehdykset, Annelore.

  4. I'm here again. Go as fast you can to 3VOOR12 Luisterpaal and listen to "The Bear That Wasn't".

You might like it. Just give it a try, because it's one of my favourite Belgian bands, but they are not yet known very well (even not in Belgium).

And surprise surprise: Ólafur Arnalds new album stands on it! :)

  5. Listening to The Bear... now. It's on Spotify as well. It might even deserve a post of its own. :)
